As for food, one restaurant with solid food and a view is Meehan's Irish Pub & Seafood which is located on the waterfront in downtown St. Augustine (Website: http://www.meehansirishpub.com/ ); you'll need to sit outside to avoid the cigarette smoke, but it's worth it. If you want Florida seafood, head to Cap's on the Water (Website: http://www.capsonthewater.com/ ). Make sure that you eat on the deck overlooking the inner coastal waterway as the sun sets. The deck is covered by canopy of live oaks strung with lights which enrich the atmosphere. They don't take reservations; so, get there early. Also, check out the A1A Ale Works (Website: http://www.a1aaleworks.com/ ), which is one of Florida's oldest Breweries. The veranda overlooking the Intercostal Waterway is an ideal place to sit. It's Key West meets Bourbon Street -- very enjoyable.
